Wingstop expansion reaches the Philippines

American restaurant chain Wingstop is expanding to the Philippines thanks to an exclusive development agreement with Wingstop Philippines Incorporated.

The partners plan to open 50 restaurants across the country, the first location is scheduled to open later this year.

Wingstop offers classic and boneless chicken wings with flavors including original hot, cajun, atomic, mild, teriyaki, lemon pepper, hawaiian, garlic parmesan, hickory smoked BBQ and Louisiana rub.

“The Wingstop brand is a synergistic addition to my group’s (CBTL Holdings) vision of building a portfolio of trustworthy and delightful industry-leading companies,” said Walden Chu, president of Wingstop Philippines.

“Following a record-breaking year of development in 2013, the demand for Wingstop continues to flourish around the globe. This agreement puts us well on our way to what we expect to be another record year of growth for Wingstop,” adds Wingstop’s chief development officer Dave Vernon.

The expansion is the latest in a series of international milestones for Wingstop, which recently opened new restaurants in Russia and Singapore.

Wingstop has over 600 restaurants around the world and commitments for more than 500 additional restaurants with plans to open more than 85 of those this year.
