Burger King Cambodia expands

Fast food chain Burger King is continuing its expansion in Cambodia with new outlets set to open.

Burger King says it will open three new restaurants in Cambodia before the year ends to take a bigger slice of the country’s growing fast food market.

One of the three stores will be located inside the soon to be completed Aeon Mall in Phnom Penh.

It is bullish about its prospects in Cambodia after seeing a 90 per cent sales increase during the first two months of the year.

Burger King Cambodia is a partnership between master franchisee, Vietnamese company Imex Pan-Pacific Group, and local company HSC.

The chain competes with foreign peer KFC which has opened 10 outlets in Cambodia since debuting in 2008.
