Lacoste takes concept to Indonesia

Lifestyle brand Lacoste, has taken its new ‘Standard’ store concept to Indonesia.

The concept store at Juanda International Airport is managed by travel retail specialists Concourse Display Management (CDM). It follows the design vision found across the Lacoste brand, which bases its success on its values of “casual elegance, quality, comfort and French heritage”.

These qualities are not only present in their signature products, but also in the design of their retail spaces. The shop features clean, chic spaces which allow Lacoste’s vibrant colours to stand out.

Working with the 2D designs provided by Lacoste, CDM oversaw the implementation of all the store furnishings, from engineered drawings to installation. The project was carried out in partnership with Heinemann Asia Pacific.

This is the fourth project CDM has managed for Lacoste since November 2013, but the first to feature the latest store concept and even more new stores will soon be tempting international travellers at other airports within this region and worldwide.

Erin Lillis-Arrowsmith, Lacoste’s travel retail director for Asia Pacific said the design of the Lacoste stores is intrinsic to the brand’s own image and part of the plan to make Lacoste “the premium casual wear brand”.

“We’ve been working with CDM in order to ensure that regardless of the logistical barriers that duty-free presents, our airside Lacoste stores are delivered to the same high specification as the most prestigious domestic boutique locations.”

Chris Morriss, Singapore-based director of CDM Asia added: “It’s very much part of our business model to support and develop a strong, global network of keen and able local suppliers who, with our oversight, produce to the very highest calibre. For high-end bespoke projects like this, it’s the most practical approach, and enables us to provide a far more nimble and efficient service.”
