Carrefour Taiwan opens mini-hyper store

Carrefour Taiwan has opened its 72nd store, a ‘mini-hyper store’ in the nation’s central region.

The store, in the city of Hu Wei is the second Carrefour outlet in Yun-lin County.

With a total sales area of 1800 sqm and the Hu Wei store offers locals a ‘one stop shopping’ solution with more than 15,000 selected items including wide range of grocery items and fresh goods, bazaar, textile and appliances.

Carrefour reports the official opening drew “hundreds” of local customers who queued to be first to shop the store.

The first Carrefour store in Taiwan was opened in Kaohsiung at the end of 1989. The business operates in partnership with President Group.
