Beams Japan curating Paris showing

Lifestyle retailer Beams Japan will present a curation of its contemporary fashion and lifestyle products at the Atelier Blancs Manteaux in the Marias district during and after Paris Menswear Fashion Week.

Launched in 1976, Beams has searched the world for styles to introduce to Japan, but now has a chance to introduce the best from Japan to the world. It has already launched this concept with a Beams Japan opening in Shinjuku, Tokyo. The Beam Japan pop-up store in Paris will be its first showing outside Tokyo, scheduled to run 12 days from June 21.

A feature of the Paris pop-up will be the Beams Made in Japan line that was presented at the London Collections Men in January. There will also be men’s and women’s clothing and lifestyle products representing modern Japanese taste and fine craftsmanship. The pop-up is being held in conjunction with Pen Paris, the French-language edition of Japan’s art and culture publication Pen.

Beams was originally an American lifestyle shop in Harajuku, Japan. It has since developed labels encompassing an ever-evolving array of styles and trends. Beams shops are curated with international designer pieces and original brand products.

With more than 150 shops across Japan, Hong Kong, Beijing, Shanghai, Taipei and Bangkok, Beams has become a lifestyle retailer covering fashion, home furnishing, arts, cafe and dining.
