Marina Bay Sands is promising “F1 frenzy” in celebration of the ninth Singapore Grand Prix, with an opportunity to meet F1 champion Lewis Hamilton at The Shoppes.
For the September party, the hotel is offering performances, gastronomic experiences and retail promotions.
As well as a public appearance on September 14, Hamilton will be out to set a personal race lap record on an F1 racing simulator outside luxury watch brand store IWC at The Shoppes (he is also the IWC Schaffhausen brand ambassador). Fans will be able to challenge his time on the simulator between September 10 and 18 in the lead-up to the Singapore Grand Prix weekend. The one who comes closest to Hamilton’s time will win exclusive F1 merchandise autographed by the champion.
Hotel guests will be able to watch the F1 action from their suites at the hotel, with a special discount offered from September 13 to 21.
Sands Rewards LifeStyle (SRL) members can take part in a race-themed draw between August 15 and September 18 with trip to The Parisian Macao for two as the main prize.
At The Shoppes from September 15 to 19, F1 Grand Prix 2016 ticket holders are offered a 20 per cent discount on luxury-brand items from such labels as Armani, Balenciaga, Bonpoint, Mulberry and Proenza Schouler.
Discounts and set menus are also offered for ticket holders at Asian restaurants 9Goubli, Jin Shan and Sen of Japan.
Between September 8 and October 5, every $2000 spent at The Shoppes earns a shopping voucher worth $100 or a personal shopping experience worth $250.
Marina Bay Sands’ celebrity-chef restaurants have special offerings during the Grand Prix weekend. Adrift offers free-flow Dom Perignon packages during live screenings of the race, while guests at Bread Street Kitchen can drink the same as the F1 winners, Domaine Chandon Brut.
