Sony Japan has new presence in Ginza

Sony Japan has opened its new store in Tokyo’s Ginza district.

It closed its flagship store in the Sony Building last month to make way for a rebuild, with its new outlet being part of the newly completed Ginza Place.

“We’d like to provide opportunities to our customers to experience our products,” says Sony head of marketing Hiroshi Kawano. “This kind of place where we can communicate with customers and promote our brand and products is important to us.”

Over three storeys, the store showcases a range of Sony products including cameras, PlayStations, TVs and Walkmans. Some products are exclusive to the store, such as a 100-inch 4K TV and 4K projector.

The new store is a block away from the original site, where the redevelopment is expected to be finished by 2022.
Sony also has stores in Fukuoka, Nagoya and Osaka.
