Dita Japan opens Tokyo flagship store

Eyewear brand Dita Japan has opened its second Japanese store, a flagship in the upscale district of Aoyama, Tokyo.

In Minami Aoyama 5-chome, the 69 sqm boutique features Italian stone and plated aluminium, with a floor-to-ceiling window on the south-facing facade. The design was by Mandi and Mehdi Rafaty of West Hollywood’s Tag Front.

Technical services are offered at the store as part of its specialised “Dita Lab”, including lens and frame prescriptions. Staff uniforms for the service department were designed by Caitlin Boelke.

Los Angeles-based Dita’s other Japanese store – its first internationally – opened in Daikanyama, Tokyo, in 2003.
