China social media marketing explained in new book

A Hong Kong based marketing specialist has published a guide to China social media marketing.

Available on Amazon.com in print or digital format, Unlocking the World’s Largest E-market by Ashley Galina Dudarenok is packed with up-to-date information, actionable insights and strategies for marketers to make the most of WeChat and Weibo.

Dudarenok, who has worked extensively on the mainland, profiles Chinese consumers, describes WeChat and Weibo working models and the outlook for digital trends in customer relationship management, artificial intelligence and what kind of changes ‘New Retail’ will bring.

The book has already won endorsement from Edward Tse, founder and CEO of Gao Feng Advisory Company.

“Social media in China, the world’s largest, digitally-savvy consumer market, is changing at warp speed.

With it come new and innovative ways for companies to communicate with their users about their products and services. And the difference between those who know how to do digital marketing right in China and those who don’t can be huge,” said Tse.

“Ashley’s book is a great read on this topic and it shows how to do digital marketing on social media in China right.”

The book is aimed at brands and retailers looking to expand into the mainland, along with those looking to provide services to Chinese tourists abroad.

Dudarenok is an entrepreneur and marketer who has spent 12 years working in the region. She specialises in creative, social media and digital content campaigns for clients including the Yidan Prize, Star Cruises, Cyberport, SaSa, Astana Expo-2017, Synergetic and Preciosa.

Last year she launched a China marketing blog and a Youtube channel.
