DayDayCook moves offline in Hong Kong

A former investment banker with a multi-million-dollar startup cooking business in Hong Kong has made the leap from online platform to physical stores.

DayDayCook, a cooking platform started by local entrepreneur Norma Chu, provides home-cooking recipes and videos online to inspire young viewers to cook and eat healthy. The business opened in Hong Kong in 2012 and expanded into Mainland China in 2015. It now draws half a million unique visitors and 4 million page views per month.

Recently, DayDayCook made the transition to the offline marketplace by opening shops in Hong Kong selling its food products, tea, ready-made meals and home-made cooking sauces. Its mainland operations are focused on both business models.

Chu has says her success includes insistence on producing high-quality photos and videos, an all-round marketing strategy and collaboration with famous local brands.
