Grab reported to take stake in HappyFresh

Southeast Asian ride-hailing service Grab has reportedly invested in Indonesia-based online grocery service HappyFresh.

The two firms recently partnered in Grab’s new grocery delivery service GrabFresh.

A spokesperson for Grab said, “HappyFresh is a key partner that is part of our Grab Platform initiative. Through our GrabFresh service powered by HappyFresh, consumers are able to order groceries easily from the Grab app.”

However, the spokesperson declined to comment on the reported investment, citing company policy.

GrabFresh is currently undergoing beta testing in Jakarta and is expected to launch in Thailand and Malaysia later this year.
