Ikea is launching a limited edition of rugs designed in collaboration with Virgil Abloh.

Previewed in Paris (where Virgil Abloh is now based) late last month, the “Still Loading” collection has been confirmed for some Asian markets next year, including Hong Kong.

The launch was marked with a pop-up store featuring four unique limited-edition rugs available for purchase. The pop-up is expected to re-emerge in three as-yet undisclosed cities shortly.

Henrik Most, Ikea’s creative leader of range and supply, commented: “I think these rugs say a lot about our collaboration and who Virgil is. They are bold, contemporary and carry messages of our time.”

The collaboration between Ikea and Virgil Abloh has been focusing on exploring what makes a first home for Millennials and what kind of designs will satisfy their practical needs and emotional aspirations.
