MyTown mall opens shared workspace in Kuala Lumpur

Malaysian co-working space Common Ground is opening shared workspace in Kuala Lumpur at MyTown Shopping Centre this September.

Catering to the growing demand for quality office spaces in the Kuala Lumpur commercial real estate market, Common Ground’s opening at MyTown is a completion of the retail mall’s intention to create an all-inclusive community hub for social meetings, leisure and work. The MyTown branch will coexist alongside the mall’s existing retailer mix, which includes a Parkson department store, a Golden Screen cinema, and anchor tenant Ikea.

“Accessibility is one of the pivotal elements of MyTown with seamless connectivity to the mall from major highways including Mex’s direct access ramp and the Cochrane MRT station,” said MyTown Shopping Centre GM En Mohd Azhan bin Che Mat.

“Common Ground’s launch in MyTown will not only introduce a more creative and interactive working culture but will also conveniently enhance the quality of life for its community members, creating a vibrant meeting space for many people to work and play all under one roof.”

Measuring about 18,000sqft in size and spanning two levels of MyTown, the new shared workspace in Kuala Lumpur has its own reception, cafe, lounges, meeting rooms, private offices and a main activity area.

“Common Ground’s expansion and full integration into MyTown will introduce the future of a synergised community of talents working in a lively and interactive space,” said Common Ground co-founder Juhn Teo. “This is in line with Common Ground’s mission to build an engaged community and vibrant ecosystem to help ambitious, fast-growing companies to take their business to the next level.”
