Sands Resorts Macao will partner with international fashion house Balmain to showcase a special collection as the headline event of Sands Macao Fashion Week 2019.
The Balmain Couture Exhibition is an exclusive collection of couture pieces direct from Paris that will be on display in the main lobby of The Venetian Macao to be unveiled at an exclusive gala launch event on October 17.
The exhibition represents the first time the fashion house has undertaken such a partnership in Asia, and indicates the growing importance of Macao as a major fashion retail destination in the region. It will pay homage to Balmain’s couture legacy, which creative director Olivier Rousteing has built upon to create the vision for the house.

“We are extremely pleased to partner with Balmain as our lead fashion brand for Sands Macao Fashion Week 2019,” said Las Vegas Sands executive VP of global retail David Sylvester, “celebrating the essence of Balmain couture for the first time in the important Macao market.”
“Our founder, Pierre Balmain, has left us with an incredible and uniquely rich heritage,” said Rousteing. “My team and I constantly find ourselves amazed by the creative genius we discover as we research the house’s extensive archives. I’m pleased that we have the opportunity to share a bit of that singular beauty, as well as help underline how Balmain’s couture origins inspire each and every one of our many collections.”
The fashion week will run from October 17 to 23.
