Uniqlo Vietnam confirms second, giant store

Uniqlo Vietnam is to open its second store in the capital city of Hanoi in the first quarter of the year.

The plan follows the successful launch of the Japanese fast-fashion brand in Vietnam last month at Ho Chi Minh City.

The new Uniqlo Vietnam store will be located at Vincom Center Shopping Mall on Pham Ngoc Thach Street.

Occupying a 2500sqm area and spanning two floors, the store will be one of the largest outlets in Southeast Asia, featuring LifeWear collection for male, female and kids.

“We are trying our best to bring great shopping experiences in harmony with the local culture,” said Osamu Ikezoe, Co-CEO of Uniqlo Vietnam.

In preparation for the opening, Uniqlo has been recruiting sales staff in Hanoi since last October, offering a monthly salary of VND7-8 million (US$300-$344).
