South Korea’s SMTown Cafe opens first store in Vietnam

South Korean chain SMTown Cafe is to open its first Vietnam store in Ho Chi Minh City.

Besides coffee and snacks, the cafe will sell Kpop merchandise, with SMTown Cafe’s parent SM Entertainment being one of South Korea’s largest Kpop entertainment companies.

SMTown Vietnam recently treated invited 1000 guests to a sneak preview of the store, which is located in Crescent Mall in the city’s District 7. It features two zones: SMTown Store and SMTown Cafe.

The SMTown Store area offers a wide selection of exclusive merchandise of SM’s artists and groups, including posters, albums, apparel and accessories. The SMTown Cafe features desserts and coffee with sitting areas inside and outside the store.

The opening date has yet to announced.

SM Entertainment is home of numerous top Kpop top artists including BoA, Girls’ Generation, EXO and Red Velvet.
