California Pizza Kitchen expanding in Hong Kong

California Pizza Kitchen (CPK) is accelerating its expansion plan in Hong Kong with a franchise partnership with Chun Fat Enterprise.

By partnering with Chun Fat, CPK is set to roll out four more restaurants in the territory, aside from the newly opened outlet in Tuen Mun Town Plaza, by the end of next year. The company said its Asia expansion plan will focus on Hong Kong, South Korea, Singapore, Japan, and Malaysia.

“We have strong momentum in our business and Hong Kong is a critical priority for our long term growth plans,” said Giorgio Minardi, executive VP of Global Development & Franchise Operations at CPK.

CPK recently launched a store in the largest mall in Hong Kong’s Northwest New Territories, Tuen Mun Town Plaza, which captures the brand’s signature style with sunny tones, wood decor accents, and large windows.

The restaurant features CPK’s signature hearth pizza oven and open kitchen layout, aimed at creating a warm welcoming atmosphere.

“The new Tuen Mun Town Plaza location is the ideal place to bring CPK’s food and beverage innovations and globally inspired ingredients to the thousands of hungry guests that visit the mall every day,” said CS Lee, MD of Chun Fat Enterprise.

Launching its first restaurant in 1985 in Beverly Hills, CPK now operates more than 200 locations across eight countries and US territories.
