Love, Bonito names new country managers for Japan, Hong Kong

Love, Bonito is expanding its leadership team with new executives for the North Asia region and its first chief people officer to support its international growth and expansion. 

Tomoko Okada, (above) has been appointed as head of Love, Bonito Japan, while Christina Wang was named as head of Hong Kong and Taiwan. Both of them has experience in leading businesses and project for brands in North Asia and Southeast Asia. In their new roles, Okada and Wang will oversee the brand’s omnichannel offerings in the regions while growing local teams and setting up physical stores in the respective markets.

“With Tomoko and Christina onboard, we want to further capitalise on their long-standing expertise and understanding of Hong Kong, Taiwan and Japan to better provide for our customers,” said Dione Song, CEO of Love, Bonito.

Meanwhile, Lisa Askwith has been named as chief people officer, bringing her 20 years of experience across different industries to the company. In her new role, Askwith will manage Love, Bonito’s people and culture strategies, especially in the areas of people development, talent acquisition, people operations and organisational development.

The appointments follow the Love, Bonito’s funding round last year where it bagged US$50 million for expanding its omnichannel presence in Asia.
