Jewellery maker D&A is expanding its portfolio in Singapore and is planning to open its first pop-up store, at Takashimaya later this year.

D&A was founded by two sisters Daria and Anna Ginsburg in 2016, with the aim of supporting the beauty of modern women as well as offering elegant and unique styles.

The sisters have around 12 years of experience and have worked with miners in gemstone-rich countries, like Brazil, Colombia, Madagascar, Sri Lanka, and Tanzania.

“We know the source, quality and value of every sapphire, fancy diamond, alexandrite, aquamarine, emerald, and garnet, as well as morganite, ruby, Mahenge spinel, and tsavorite,” said Daria.

“There are even grandidierites from Madagascar – one of the rarest and most valuable stones in the world whose value is constantly rising due to their scarcity.”

The jewellery brand has teamed up with Zoe Tay, a Singaporean actress and former model, to promote its Embrace jewellery collection, which is sourced from Mahenge spinels, mint garnets, and diamonds.

D&A says that it will work with more leading Instagram influencers and other celebrities in Singapore and the US in other collaborations.

Recognisable in countries around the world, including the US, D&A says its designs highlight the natural beauty of each gemstone as well as the wearer. In addition, some pieces of jewellery are made once and the names are inspired by emotions, desires, and even nature.

“We want our clients to feel elegant, unique, stylish, unforgettable, and elated to have such beauty,” the founders added.

“They also know that some pieces can serve as great investments and will hold their value through generations. Some have even commissioned us to find certain rare stones, and several of D&A’s rare gemstones have sold at auction for huge amounts.”

The pop-up at Takashimaya will open from September 29 to October 10.
