Nan Fung Group says it will open its 47-story mixed-use commercial development Airside in Kai Tak during the third quarter – including a 700,000sqft shopping mall.

Located in the heart of Kowloon’s CBD, Airside is connected to the area’s local and cross-border transportation networks. It takes 20 minutes to get from Airside to Central, and 40 minutes to get to the Hong Kong International Airport and the Shenzhen border.

The multi-storey shopping mall will feature a mix of premium tenants, including home-grown companies, international cuisines, and experiential retail. Anchors will include the 25,000sqft City Super lifestyle speciality store and a 12,000sqft Japanese lifestyle store by Muji.

“Airside is the flagship development project of Nan Fung Group. It embodies our commitment to fostering a community in which tenants can achieve their sustainability and social goals with people-centric designs and facilities. The current leasing momentum is also a testament to the market’s resurging confidence post-pandemic,” said Vanessa Cheung, group MD of Nan Fung Group.

“As Hong Kong’s CBD 2.0, the Kai Tak Development area is home to several key infrastructural projects, which propels the development of the area as well as Hong Kong as a whole.”

According to Nan Fung, Airside will emphasise ecological living through a ‘wholeness’ concept. To provide guests with a farm-to-table experience, Airside will feature a 4000sqft urban farm that will provide more than 50 varieties of vegetables for F&B businesses inside the mall.

The mall boasts around 40 food and beverage businesses, providing a wide range of dining options, ranging from stylish, contemporary eateries to a multi-concept food hall and pet-friendly alfresco dining areas.

Airside dedicates more than 10,000 sqft to art and culture, in addition to a pet-friendly hub and Hong Kong’s first large-scale indoor surfing centre.
