South Korean cafe chain Compose Coffee is set to open its first international location in Singapore.

Compose Coffee’s first Singapore store will reportedly open inside the Suntec City shopping mall, where the brand has posted a hoarding saying ‘Coming soon’. The exact opening date has not yet been disclosed.

Since its inception in 2014, Compose Coffee has opened about 2200 stores in its home country, primarily in Seoul and Busan. The brand won the grand prize at the 2023 Korea’s Most Loved Brand Awards.

Last month, Australian bubble-tea brand Chaffic expanded into Singapore with its first store opened at the Westgate shopping centre, following the launch of US-based brand Jama Juice in the market.

Statista estimates Singapore’s revenue in the ready-to-drink coffee & tea segment at US$1.2 billion this year. The market is expected to grow annually by 6.78 per cent (CAGR 2023-2027).
