But fast forward to 2023, it is now not even listed on the Singapore Retailers Association’s calendar of events. Many blame the rise of online shopping as the main factor behind the decline of this yearly event. Customers  have access to more frequent discounts and promotions on e-commerce platforms, thereby creating ‘sale fatigue
