Vietnamese coffee chain Trung Nguyen Legend has opened its first brick-and-mortar location in the US, in partnership with the main US-based franchisee H&L Wholesale Food Corporation.
The 1300sqft store on Bolsa Avenue in Westminster sells phin- and espresso-based coffee drinks made with 100 per cent Vietnamese-grown Robusta and Arabica beans.
Founded in 1996, Trung Nguyen is one of the most famous coffee brands in Vietnam and is operating hundreds of stores in the region, as well as appearing in more than 60 countries.
The brand expanded its international presence last year with the first store opened in Shanghai, and currently has three stores in China.
America is a major coffee importer, and Trung Nguyen’s G7 instant coffee officially entered the retail supermarket systems of Costco and E-mart in early October 2011.
Trung Nguyen primarily extended its retail reach through the franchise model.
