South Korean bakery chain Tous Les Jours is expanding its footprint into Canada with the first store opened in Calgary.

The business is located in H-Mart and offers French-Asian baked goods including milk bread, macarons, loaves, and croissants, as well as seasonal items.

“Calgary is an advanced and trend-conscious city, so we are confident that locals and visitors will embrace and grow to love our unique French-Asian menu items that deliver comfort cravings as well as trendy and innovative treats,” said Tony Hunsoo Ahn, CEO of Tous Les Jours International.

Owned by CJ Group, the bakery franchise plans to launch 120 outlets in North America this year and 1000 by 2030. Toronto and Vancouver will be the next destinations. The Canada launch comes after Tour Les Jours highlighted its expansion in the US with the 100th store in New York’s Bronxville in August

“Furthermore, we have ongoing expansion plans focused on the Alberta, British Columbia, and Ontario regions,” added Sam Hong, business development manager at Tous Les Jours.

In addition, Tous Les Jours plans to open its first North American factory in Gainesville, Georgia, to meet the growing demand across the US and Canada.
