Siam Paragon’s owner, The Mall Group, has launched its US$403 million development Emsphere in downtown Bangkok.

Supaluck Umpujh, chairwoman of The Mall Group, described the Emsphere as a “sleepless metropolis”, positioned to be a world-class multi-faceted development.

Located on Sukhumvit Road, the mall offers 24-hour dining catering to late-night arrivals and local night explorers. Its fifth and sixth floors are exclusively dedicated to entertainment, featuring about 25 pubs and bars including beach clubs and supper clubs.

There are also UOB Live – a 12,000sqm arena with a 6000-person capacity designed for events and conferences, Southeast Asia’s first 12,000 sqm city-centre Ikea store, and luxury car brands such as Rolls-Royce and Porsche.

The mall is a pivotal component of the 650,000 sqm EM district mega project. Aside from Emsphere, the EM district also comprises two other shopping complexes, namely Emporium and Emquartier.

Umpujh added she aims to develop the EM district into a distinctive urban district in Bangkok, in parallels with iconic districts like Dubailand in Dubai, Omotesando in Tokyo, and Xin Tian Di in Shanghai.
