Morrocan coffee chain Bacha Coffee is set to open its first store in Indonesia, following the brand’s expansion into Malaysia and Hong Kong earlier this year.

Located at Jakarta’s Plaza Senayan shopping centre, the store marks Indonesia as Bacha Coffee’s fourth market in East Asia as well as eighth globally.

Founded in Marrakech in 1910, the chain launched an international expansion in 2019 by choosing Singapore’s Ion Orchard shopping mall as its first destination.

The brand opened its first location in Hong Kong in August, a start for its expansion in China’s Greater Bay Area in 2024. It also debuted in Malaysia with a store at the Suria KLCC shopping centre in September.

The coffee retailer opened the region’s largest Bacha Coffee store in Singapore last year, a duplex at Changi Airport’s Terminal 3.

Bacha Coffee also operates in other markets including France, Qatar and Kuwait.
