Toys R Us has opened its first experience-driven store in Singapore – at Jewel Changi Airport, marking its 12th location in the city-state. 

Boasting 9000sqft, the Jewel Changi Airport store offers exclusive items target both local and international collectors and customers, including plush toys of Singapore symbols like the Merlion and the Airport Tower, as well as the gastronomic delicacy, the Curry Puff. 

The store design takes a modern minimalistic approach inspired by Piet Mondrian’s ageless paintings, with clean lines and empty space serving as a backdrop. 

“Our aim is to not only provide exceptional products but also create a destination where every individual, kid or adult, can immerse themselves in a world of discovery and entertainment,” said Adelene Teo, GM (Singapore, Brunei & Thailand). 

“The combination of exclusive merchandise and new thematic design will make this store a must-visit destination for travellers and locals alike.”

Toys R Us, in conjunction with Mighty Jaxx International, will also launch the special Mr Koifish Series, which will be available only at the new location until December 31. In addition, Funko Pop will release an exclusive collectible of Geoffrey clutching a globe, as well as exclusive items from Gundam, Gunpla, Jurassic World, and Masterpiece Collectible.

The store will also house an aviation-themed indoor play park spanning 4500sqft in collaboration with Singapore’s indoor edutainment playground Kiztopia
