The Lo & Behold Group and joint venture partner Sunray Group Holdings are set to open the lifestyle destination New Bahru in Singapore this May.
New Bahru will serve as home to popular granola shop Dearborn, multidisciplinary design studio Beyond The Vines Design House, plant retailer and planting workshop provider Soilboy, coffee store Morning, and children’s play centre Kiztopia Prestige among others.
The new lifestyle destination will be located at 46 and 58 Kim Yam Road in River Valley, near the 83-key Alma House serviced apartment.
“We’re building a lifestyle destination that is driven by discovery,” said The Lo & Behold Group managing partner Wee Teng Wen.
“A lovingly refurbished school building to escape the mundaneness of cookie-cutter malls, where people can come without a plan, yet spend a day wandering around and leave feeling inspired by the New Bahru community, the products and programming.”
Moreover, selected Castlery furniture will be integrated into Alma House’s rooms and lobby lounge to allow guests to experience the collections.
“We wanted to fill the gap in the market for travellers seeking an authentic off-the-beaten-track experience and are pleased to have found that with the New Bahru community,” a spokesperson for Alma House operator and manager Project X said.
