Thai retail and property developer Siam Piwat supports Bangkok Design Week 2025 by showcasing works from Thai and international artists and designers and hosting activities across its shopping centres Siam Paragon, Siam Center, Siam Discovery, and IconSiam. The move is to reaffirm its role as a creative powerhouse and pioneering global destination development.

Siam Piwat is collaborating with the Creative Economy Agency (CEA) and various partners as one of the key supporters of Bangkok Design Week 2025 (BKKDW2025), also known as the Bangkok Design Festival 2025. Under the theme “Design Up+Rising: Facing Challenges with a Positive Twist”, the event takes place from February 8-23.

“Siam Piwat is steadfast in its commitment to crafting experiences that leave visitors amazed (Be Amazed) and inspired (Be Inspired) while playing a key role in revolutionising the industry (Be Revolutionary) through every generation,” said Chanisa Kaewruen, head of creative and innovation at Siam Piwat Co, explaining the company support for BKKDW2025.

“We were the first shopping mall in Thailand to open creative spaces that make art a part of the everyday lifestyle. As a pioneer, we have introduced new experiences that blend art, culture, innovation, and aesthetics to ensure equal accessibility for everyone,” she continued.

“Siam Piwat’s shopping centres serve as hubs of creativity and inspiration. We have continuously collaborated with Thai and international artists, designers, and emerging talents to create world-class works within our malls. Additionally, we actively support the growth of a creative community, fostering its development into one of the largest art communities in Thailand.”

Siam Piwat has provided spaces for Thai artists, emerging designers, and world-renowned creators to showcase their talents in two major districts: Siam District – home to Siam Paragon, Siam Center, and Siam Discovery – and Khlong San District, where IconSiam is located.

Key activities in Siam Piwat’s BKKDW2025 include:

Siam Paragon, a stage of exclusive contemporary arts

Siam Paragon’s Arena of Arts presents exclusive contemporary works of Art through the concept of Luxury for All, reflecting accessibility for everyone. Artists from around the world will offer a continuously rotating showcase of extraordinary works, including:

Jaime Hayon for Siam Paragon: For the first time in Thailand, internationally acclaimed designer Jaime Hayon unveils an exclusive sculpture masterpiece, The Future in Our Hand, on the 1st floor of Siam Paragon. This one-of-a-kind artwork is a result of a co-creation collaboration between Siam Paragon and Hayon, designed specifically for this landmark destination.

Red Bubble by Donghoon Oh: A contemporary artist from South Korea, Donghoon Oh creates sculptures that capture the human form through playful spherical shapes inspired by floating soap bubbles – blown by children – that vanish instantly. This thought-provoking piece reflects the thin line between reality and illusion.

Reflection You by Cheese Arnon or Arnon Neiysoongnoen: This renowned Thai graffiti artist is famous for his signature fox character. An immersive installation at Siam Paragon explores self-reflection from multiple perspectives. The artwork is displayed within a cube-shaped structure, using mirrored surfaces and dynamic visuals to create a sense of movement and ever-changing dimensions, offering visitors a fresh and thought-provoking experience.

Visual Merchandising: A creative showcase celebrating Chinese New Year under the theme Harmony of Prosperity: A New Year’s Awakening blends cultural symbols with modern design. The exhibition spans multiple locations within Siam Paragon, with highlights including the Origami Serpent of Light at the Jewel Area – a sleek, modern serpent sculpture designed using traditional Japanese origami techniques – and the Reflective Serpent of Fortune, a breathtaking installation of a shimmering, elongated serpent displayed throughout the Cascade area.

Showcased at the Siam Center

Visual Merchandising: A creative installation reflecting Siam Center’s identity as a trendsetting hub of innovation, presented under the theme Harmony of Prosperity: A New Year’s Awakening. This showcase reinterprets the essence of Chinese New Year celebrations through a playful, dynamic serpent design, brought to life with vibrant colours and fluid movements. The installation offers a unique and immersive experience.

Siam Center x Memori Studio Pop-up Space: A groundbreaking Art Toy design innovation that shakes up the industry with Thailand’s first-ever 3D hyper-realistic figure model by Memori Studio. Cutting-edge technology captures 90 per cent accuracy in detail by using a 360-degree scanner and high-quality 3D printing with premium materials. The innovation transforms memories into a one-of-a-kind, unparalleled gift experience.

At Siam Discovery

Colour Meets Function by ODS: An exhibition that seamlessly blends colour and functionality, set within the minimalist elegance of a clean, white house-like space. Every piece on display is more than just decoration; each is a functional work of art and design, crafted to be visually striking and practically usable.

Future Lab Volume 4: Design Culture x PatPixels: An open space for everyone to explore and express their unique identity, featuring the Co-Create & Collaborate phenomenon of the year. In partnership with Bangkok Metropolitan Administration, Yuedpao, ODS, and Siam Discovery, this exclusive Bangkok Design Week 2025 exhibition is crafted in collaboration with artist PatPixels. Presented as a design lab, the exhibition embodies the essence of Design Culture, showcasing one-of-a-kind, hyper-personalised patterns.

Reflection You: An immersive art installation that reflects identity through multiple perspectives, presented within a dynamic, cube-shaped structure. The artwork creates depth and movement, constantly shifting its visual narrative to offer a fresh, ever-changing self-reflection. At the heart of the installation is the fox character, a symbol of wit and cleverness, brought to life by the acclaimed artist Cheese Arnon (Arnon Neiysoongnoen). Depicted in various playful poses, the fox injects energy and vibrancy into the space, bridging the connection from Siam Paragon to Siam Discovery and fostering interaction between people and the diverse experiences within the space.
