US brand Dave’s Hot Chicken intends to expand internationally, opening stores in China and Southeast Asia. 

Known for its Nashville-style hot chicken, the business plans to grow into China, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, and Indonesia over the next two or three years. 

According to QSR Media Asia, these markets have “a growing demand for high-quality chicken concepts” that Dave’s Hot Chicken might tap into. 

The California-based retailer also plans for other markets, including Australia. 

Dave’s Hot Chicken was founded in Los Angeles, California, in 2017 with a single restaurant and now has more than 200 locations in the US, the Middle East, and Canada, the majority franchised.

Last year, US-based fried chicken chain Texas Chicken announced its closure in Thailand after nine years in the market, without providing any specific reasons.
