Tumi has opened its first flagship store in China, situated on Nanjing West Road in Shanghai’s Jing’an District.
Reflecting the brand’s minimalist design, the store features Tumi’s 19 Degree architectural motif, characterised by a curved facade, metallic finishes, and neutral tones accented by marble and stone.
The store offers Tumi’s product range across men’s, women’s, and travel categories, displayed in a layout designed to show how each item fits into everyday travel scenarios.
A Shanghai-exclusive, the store also features a bamboo art installation, Journey, by Chinese artist Xu Fei. Inspired by traditional cosmology – particularly the balance between “round heaven and square earth” – which aims to align with the brand’s focus on purposeful design.
“Tumi has always been about creating products that serve a purpose, design that adapts to the way people live, move, and travel,” said Victor Sanz, creative director at Tumi.
