Designer toy brand Pop Mart has opened its first Global Landmark store in Bangkok, marking a major step in its international growth strategy.
Located on the 7th floor of IconSiam, the new flagship spans more than 760sqm across two levels, making it one of Pop Mart’s largest and most ambitious locations to date.
The store is the first to feature an interior design rooted in Thai cultural themes. Drawing inspiration from traditional architecture and the Chao Phraya River, the space is built around three core concepts: water culture, heritage, and inclusivity.
The two-level layout features curved, flowing forms to suggest motion and connection throughout the space.
Inside, visitors will find the brand’s exclusive zones, including a blind box area, a VIP lounge, and a Pop Mart cafe, the first of its kind outside China, developed in partnership with Greyhound Café. A special exhibition, “Hello Moon”, featuring the character Molly, is also on display at Thara Hall through August 14.
Pop Mart said the Bangkok opening reflects its effort to move beyond niche toy collectors and engage a wider, global audience by connecting its characters to local culture and storytelling.
The company is also exploring new product categories. In June, Pop Mart launched its first jewellery concept store, Popop, in Shanghai, offering accessories featuring popular characters like Labubu, Molly, and Skullpanda.
