Indian jewellery brand Malabar Gold & Diamonds has expanded its UK footprint with the launch of two new showrooms in Birmingham and Southall.

The Birmingham store, spanning 5700sqft, is the brand’s largest outlet in the country.

Bollywood actress and brand ambassador Kareena Kapoor Khan inaugurated both locations, which the company said are designed to deliver a “world-class shopping experience”.

With the new openings, Malabar Gold & Diamonds now operates showrooms in Birmingham, Leicester, Southall, and Green Street, London.

“The authorities in the UK are providing great support and cooperation to business ventures from South Asian countries. I am thrilled and proud of that,” said MP Ahammad, chairman of Malabar Group

 “In addition to the existing four showrooms in the UK, there is a plan to open more showrooms.”

The jeweller confirmed plans to add outlets in Manchester and a third location in London, with longer-term expansion into Ireland and France.

Globally, Malabar Gold & Diamonds operates more than 400 stores across 13 countries.
