Korean salad chain Salady has opened its first store in the Philippines through a master franchise with local partner Palette Passion Inc.

The company said the franchise-led model allows a more efficient expansion by licensing its brand, rather than entering new markets directly.

Salady’s menu adapts Korean-inspired comfort food into salads and wraps. Signature items include the Bulgogi Bibim Grain Bowl, Bulgogi Soba Bowl, and Mexican-style wraps.

Customers can also create their own bowls and wraps with the store’s range of meats, sauces, and vegetables.

Oh Se-deok, head of Salady’s overseas business, said the Philippines was a natural next step for the brand’s expansion in Southeast Asia.

“The Philippines is a region where the wellness dining market is growing rapidly, centred on a young and dynamic consumer base,” he said.

“Through cooperation with our local partner, we will introduce premium ingredients and differentiated Korean-style healthy dining menus, and naturally spread Korea’s healthy food culture into daily life around the world.”
