Lazada-owned RedMart has introduced a new on-demand grocery delivery service in Singapore, promising fulfilment in as little as 30 minutes.

The new service, dubbed RedMart Now, complements the e-grocer’s existing same-day delivery options, which include two-hour and six-hour delivery windows.

Initially, RedMart Now will operate daily across selected southern and central neighbourhoods such as Sentosa, Telok Blangah, Alexandra, Pasir Panjang, Clementi, Queenstown, Orchard, River Valley, Tanglin and Bukit Timah. A phased rollout across the rest of the island is planned.

The service will feature a curated selection of high-frequency essentials, including fresh produce, snacks, beverages, festive goods and household items. Delivery is priced at S$3.99 for orders above S$30.

“With RedMart Now, we can cater to a different shopping mission – one driven by urgency
and unexpected moments,” said Martin Daney, SVP, head of RedMart, Lazada.

“That’s why we created RedMart Now, to deliver what customers need in as fast as 30 minutes. Our ambition is to be the go-to platform for both everyday groceries and life’s unexpected needs, helping customers spend less time on errands and more time enjoying what matters.”

The launch puts RedMart in more direct competition with rapid-delivery players competing for share in Singapore’s dense and high-value grocery market. It also signals a deeper push into the city-state’s fast-expanding quick commerce segment.

Quick commerce now accounts for roughly one-third of Singapore’s online grocery delivery revenue. According to Statista, the segment was projected to reach around US$371.75 million last year, within a broader online grocery market estimated at US$1.04 billion.

RedMart was acquired by Lazada in 2016
