Thai beauty and healthcare retailer Konvy has secured a US$15 million investment from Japan’s Cool Japan Fund (CJF), as the companies look to accelerate demand for Japanese beauty and healthcare brands across Southeast Asia.
Through the investment, CJF aims to further expand overseas demand for Japanese-brand products in the healthcare and beauty sectors by tapping into Konvy’s multi-channel retail network, digital marketing strength, promotion and localisation capabilities in overseas markets.
Founded in 2011, Konvy has grown into one of Thailand’s leading beauty e-commerce platforms, offering more than 20,000 products from over 1000 brands across skincare, cosmetics, fragrances, and beauty accessories.
The retailer operates through its own e-commerce platform and online marketplaces such as Shopee and Lazada, while also expanding its social commerce presence on TikTok Shop. It has further expanded offline through 16 stores in Thailand and one in the Philippines, as well as partnerships with retailers such as Watsons.
In addition to Thailand and the Philippines, the company also operates in Malaysia.
The investment follows previous collaborations between Konvy and Japanese companies under the Japan External Trade Organization’s Japan Mall Project, which promoted Japanese products in overseas markets between 2022 and 2023.
