Sourcing and supply chain giant Li & Fung is expanding its licensing partnership with US lifestyle brand Vera Bradley, plotting a major push into the competitive apparel sector following a year of growth in home goods.
The deal, brokered by IMG Licensing, marks a significant category extension for the Indiana-based retailer.
Under the expanded agreement, Li & Fung will design and manufacture everyday apparel, translating Vera Bradley’s visual identity into tops, sweaters, outerwear, dresses, and swimwear.
According to the brand, the design strategy leans heavily on its signature “recognisable patterns, colours, and quilting details, adapted for a broad, multigenerational customer base”.
The commercial rollout will launch in phases, beginning in holiday 2026 with the release of cold-weather categories, including tops, sweaters, and outerwear. This will be followed by a category expansion into dresses and swimwear for cruise 2027.
“Apparel is a meaningful expansion for Vera Bradley,” said Melinda Paraie, chief brand officer of Vera Bradley.
“We’ve built strong momentum in the home category, and we’re confident this partnership will help us deliver quality apparel that reflects our brand’s DNA. It’s about meeting our customers where they are and giving them more ways to express their personal style.”
The collection will be distributed widely across full-price, specialty, off-price, and warehouse club retail channels.
