Zara has opened a flagship store in Seoul’s Gangnam district, spanning more than 2100sqm across three floors.
The store brings together Zara Woman and Zara Man collections alongside architectural, artistic and digital elements. Designed by Zara’s Architecture Studio, the interior features stone, wood, concrete and metal, with dedicated spaces for different product categories.
The ground floor houses womenswear and younger collections, while the second floor expands the womenswear offer with a dedicated shoes and bags section. Menswear occupies the third floor, including Zara Origins, Athleticz and selected collaborations.
A key feature of the store is Imugi, a site-specific installation developed in collaboration with the Korean creative studio Our Labour. Inspired by a creature from Korean mythology, the artwork extends across all three floors and references traditional Korean architecture and dancheong decoration.
The Gangnam flagship also includes a Zacaffe, featuring an outdoor terrace and a curated selection of books by Korean authors.
Customers can also access Zara’s omnichannel services, including in-store product availability via the Zara app, online order collection, assisted checkout and automated returns.
The opening forms part of Zara’s ongoing investment in its physical retail network. In June, the company opened a flagship store on Huaihai Road in Shanghai, introducing its latest global store concept to the Chinese market.
