Miniso has opened its first Super Miniso store outside China at Square One Shopping Centre in Mississauga, Ontario, marking a new step in the retailer’s international expansion.

Spanning 1000sqm, the store stocks more than 5000 IP-related SKUs, combining character merchandise, collectibles and everyday lifestyle products.

The outlet introduces Miniso’s full Naruto collection to Canada, alongside its Stitch Hit Snooze Series. Upcoming launches include products featuring Demon Hunter, Chiikawa, Hello Kitty and Friends, Mofusand and Marvel, as well as merchandise from the retailer’s own YoYo character brand.

The opening follows the launch of Miniso’s largest Canadian store at West Edmonton Mall last November. 

The retailer plans to open four themed stores across Canada between October and November, including three Super Miniso locations in Mississauga, Winnipeg and Montreal, and its first Miniso Land store in Toronto.

The expansion comes as Miniso deepens its focus on IP-led retail and immersive shopping experiences. Last month, the retailer took its IP strategy global with a pop-up tour featuring K-pop star Lisa, signalling a broader push beyond traditional licensing towards experiential retail and expanded IP operations.
