SM Home will reopen its Makati flagship this week with a redesigned store concept, as it rolls out a broader overhaul of its retail format.

The Makati location is the first to be updated under the new framework, with earlier further at SM Home Aura and SM Home Megamall in the coming months.

It introduces a reconfigured store layout, with dedicated zones for kitchen, dining, living, bedroom, bathroom, storage, laundry, and cleaning, as well as a gift registry.

Janice Yang, business unit head at SM Home,  said the changes go beyond a visual refresh, covering product curation, brand identity, and the overall in-store experience.

The new concept combines core household essentials with more “aspirational products”, offering everyday purchases and higher-value investments within a single retail environment.

“We are rebuilding SM Home, starting with Makati, because Filipinos deserve a home store that is built for real life,” added Yang.

SM Home is the home and living subsidiary of Philippine retail giant SM. It operates more than 70 stores nationwide and plans to extend the new format to additional locations over time.
