Tom n Toms Myanmar has opened two locations in Yangon so far, at the international airport and the Kantharyar Centre.
Coffee chains in Korea are scaling up to meet increasingly demanding consumers.
Setting the trend is Starbucks which recently launched a gourmet brand called Starbucks Reserve, selling coffees at 3000 won ($2.80), higher than at a regular Starbucks.
The coffee giant has opened five Starbucks Reserves in the country, joining the 800 other outlets worldwide.
Also embracing the trend is local cafe Tom n Toms which launched an upscale cafe called The Calypso in southern Seoul.
Korean coffee brand Tom N Toms has partnered with Suning to expand into China.
Tom N Toms plans to open up to 600 outlets across China with the first to debut in Nanjing in February.
“Now that we have joined forces with one of China’s best-known private companies, we believe we can enter the Chinese market in an aggressive manner,” said Tom N Toms president Kim Do-kyun.
