Massive Mumbai mall opens this week

The massive 4 million square foot Phoenix Market City will open its doors in Mumbai on Thursday.

The four level shopping complex is erected at the heart of Mumbai, in the suburb Kurla. Built by Offbeat Developers, Phoenix Market City will house international and domestic retailers.

Pheonix Market City will feature 10 department stores, 362 boutiques and small format stores, a 14 screen Adlabs megaplex cinemas, 15 mini-anchors, six fine dining restaurants, two food courts, 23 variety restaurants, a hypermarket spread across 200,000 sqft and a parking area which can accommodate 3500 cars.

“We are delighted to introduce Phoenix Market City (PMC) mall to Mumbai. The mall boasts international styling and design with the largest collection of Indian and international brands under one roof,” said Shishir Srivastava, CEO and joint MD of Phoenix Mills.

“PMC at Kurla is the extension of our vision to cater to all premium lifestyle requisites. A city in itself, PMC will be Mumbai’s new landmark destination for high-end shopping, offering a completely secure, relaxed, and unique mall environment in India,” added Srivastava.

“Currently, around 200 brands have already been confirmed for the mall, out of which some would be the first ever in India/Mumbai. We have Nara Camicie, Rossini, CEX, and Luxury Boulevard to be the first ever stores in India, whereas Kalmane Coffee, L’Occitane,  7 For All Mankind, and Bebe are venturing in Mumbai for the very first time with PMC, Kurla. We have around 26 categories of retails shops, strategically spread throughout the mall to get an excellent retail experience,” said Srivastava.

Spanish fashion brand Zara will also open its largest store in India at Pheonix Market City. Other international brands are also inquiring about rental space at PMC.

In its aim to bring vibrance, PMC will also offer an 80,000sqft leisure and entertainment precinct which will accommodate gaming zones, fashions shows, television events, promotions and other multiple events.

PMC’s water-landscape courtyard will offer domestic and international visitors with a picturesque retreat.
