Zilli expands Asian foothold

Italian fashion brand Zilli is extending its network across Asia with several openings planned this year.

Just last month, Zilli has opened its first store in China at the Peninsula Hotel in Beijing. It was followed by an opening in Macau with two more openings at Grand Lisboa Hotel and Four Seasons Hotel on the Cotai Strip.

The company’s Asian expansion will also see its debut in Singapore at Marina Bay Sands at the end of this month. China will also get more stores with openings slated to open in Shenyang and Changchun in September and a second store in Beijing in October.

“The development strategy must undoubtedly pass through Asia,” said Lawrence Schimel, CEO of the family-owned company.

“The planned opening of several stores over the next two years creates vast prospects for development, and the international impact of our brand will be strengthened ever further.”

Zilli was founded by Alain Schimel and his wife Roberta in 1970. Zilli has 45 stores in 34 countries plus points of sales in multi-brand stores.
