7-Eleven Taiwan expands

Taiwan company President Chain Store Corporation (PCSC) plans to expand rapidly its brands both in local and overseas markets.

The company, which operates convenience chain 7-Eleven and coffee brand Starbucks, among others, plans to take its local and overseas store count to 8300 by the end of the year from 7714 as of December.

PCSC plans to roll out more 7-Eleven stores in Taiwan to expand it to 5000 this year. Starbucks and drugstore COSMED are also set for expansion.

And notwithstanding its loss in China, PCSC plans to expand its 7-Eleven and Starbucks stores in Shanghai to 100 and 600, respectively.

By the end of the year, the company will also see 1200 stores in the Philippines.
