Sanrio has opened a short term Gudetama pop up store in Langham Place to help mark the mall’s 10th anniversary.
Gudetama, dubbed Sanrio’s most slovenly character, is a ‘lazy egg” suffering from terminal depression due to the knowledge he will soon be eaten. He is hugely popularity in Japan and now building fans across broader Asia.
Sanrio and Langham Place hope the Gudetama merchandise on sale will be snapped up fast, including a distinctive cushion.
Gudetama will be centrestage at Langham Place in Mongkok until September 6.
