Link Shopping Centres introduce free Wi-Fi

Visitors at 114 shopping centres in Hong Kong will soon have speedy free Wi-Fi internet access.
Rolling out from early April, the service will provide 30 minutes of use for individuals each day at Link shopping centres.
Link Asset Management has joined forces with Hutchison Global Communications (HGC), the fixed-line division of Hutchison Telecommunications Hong Kong Holdings (HTHKH), to provide the service, which uses HGC high-speed optical-fibre technology. Shopping centres include Link’s flagship Stanley Plaza, Hands, Lions Rise Mall, Lok Fu Plaza and Temple Mall. It is expected the roll-out will be complete by mid-2017.
“We are delighted to collaborate with Link in deploying a large-scale Wi-Fi network for the company’s millions of shoppers and visitors,” says HTHKH COO Jennifer Tan.
“We hope this value-added offering will create a better overall shopping experience.”
