Siam Piwat Group has unveiled IconPhuket, a historic milestone and visionary megaproject set to become Southern Thailand’s new iconic landmark. Dubbed The Icon of Southern Wonders, it is set to open in 2029.

Siam Piwat, the pioneering developer behind Siam Paragon, Siam Center and Siam Discovery, and joint owner of IconSiam and Siam Premium Outlets Bangkok, believes the new Phuket development will reinforce the company’s role as ‘The Game Changer’ in creating world-class destinations that transform cities, drive economic growth, and elevate Thailand’s profile on the global stage.
IconPhuket will bring together stories of heritage, wisdom, arts, and culture from Southern Thailand’s 14 provinces, transforming them into a world-class experience through co-creation and collaboration, and creating a platform that elevates local wisdom on the global stage.

She says IconPhuket will showcase the region’s unique identity, culture, wisdom, way of life and economic potential to Thai and global audiences, while creating new economic opportunities for the region as a new icon of the South.
Iconic developments by Siam Piwat, such as IconSiam and Siam Paragon, have become internationally recognised models for destination development, attracting interest from leading developers worldwide and helping elevate Thailand’s position on the global stage, she explained.

A model city
The project is envisioned as a model city shaped through cross-sector collaboration, helping to strengthen a sustainable cluster economy across Southern Thailand. Siam Piwat expects the development to draw 80,000-100,000 visitors per day.
IconPhuket will serve as the centrepiece of Synthesis Ark Phuket, an integrated mixed-use megaproject developed by CV Group of Companies, with an investment value of more than US$1.5 billion and spanning more than 80ha in Thalang, Phuket. The wider project will include residences, hotels, offices, serviced apartments, educational institutions, and health and wellness facilities, with convenient access to Phuket International Airport and yacht marinas.
IconPhuket is scheduled to open in 2029, and Phase 1 of Synthesis Ark Phuket is scheduled to be completed in 2032. The development is envisioned as a future-ready urban destination that supports the long-term growth of a sustainable Southern economic cluster.
More than 40 per cent of IconPhuket will be dedicated to green and open spaces, while one-third of the project will comprise attractions and entertainment. Developed with local communities, government agencies, and private-sector partners, the project will incorporate green technologies, resource-efficient systems, and smart mobility solutions. It will also provide a platform for SMEs, community enterprises and local products from across Southern Thailand.
