Italian and Japanese dining experiences are being added to the global culinary concepts at Hong Kong’s dining/art/music venue Greater China Club.  

 
Italian food and wine bar Cadenza, along with rooftop Japanese outdoor dining spot Hoshino Japanese Barbeque following soon, complement Chinese dining room Man Hing at the club-style retreat atop D2 Place in Lai Chi Kok.

 

Cadenza offers an extensive wine cellar and live music via a $1 million sound system, and serves traditional Italian and contemporary European cuisine with a modern twist. Specialties include Spaghetti Aglio Olio with Mediterranean Red Prawn, Maine Lobster Risotto with Deluxe Lobster Jus, Crispy Pizzeta with Seasonal Mushrooms and Pancetta, and Frito Misto grilled seafood, along with signature carpaccios and tartares, premium Italian cold cuts and cheeses.

Rooftop grill
Hoshino Japanese Barbeque is being styled as a rooftop terrace grill and will be one of the few outdoor dining venues in New Kowloon. Seating 30, the concept is inspired by Japan’s historic charcoal grilling tradition Irori Genshiyaki, with chef Kenichi Takano, formerly of Inakaya Robatayaki restaurant in Roppongi, Tokyo. Items will be flown in daily from Japan including Kagoshima Kurobuta pork and Miyazaki Wagyu beef, Hokkaido scallops, Nodoguro Ichioboshi seabream and Iwashi sardines.

There will also be traditional appetisers, Kushiyaki skewers, grilled vegetables and bamboo rice.
With seasonal art exhibitions, live music, fine wine and cigars complementing its global fine-dining, Greater China Club is the “quintessential rendezvous for those who appreciate the finer things in life”, says founder/CEO Eric Ting.

While members enjoy special benefits, the club is also open to guests and tourists.
