Ikea Hong Kong revamps online offer

Ikea Hong Kong has revamped its website to feature five key functions, presenting itself as a one-stop platform for home design, product selection, order placement and delivery arrangement.

The five new functions include mobile phone and computer compatibility; a “quick view’ feature that displays relevant product information; smart filtering and product comparison; a member’s page with order history; and five delivery or pick-up options.

“Necessitated by Hongkongers’ hectic schedules, online shopping opens up more business opportunities for brands by transcending the limitations of the opening hours at physical stores,” said Ikea’s country marketing manager Roxy Cheng. “Ever discerning of customers’ needs, Ikea has especially curated a better and more comprehensive online and offline shopping experience, which enables customers to browse product information online before purchasing at the physical store, or to be duly inspired in-store before placing the order and arranging delivery online.

“Through its functionality upgrade, the website now inspires customers with more home decor ideas, while saving them time and energy during product selection”.
