California-based The Habit Burger Grill is to expand into Cambodia in partnership with Kampuchea Tela.

Cambodia’s first store is scheduled to open tomorrow at the Tela Toul Kork Station in Phnom Penh. The Habit Burger Cambodia store spans two stories, offering both dine-in and takeout.

“We look forward to creating new Habit fans by inviting them to enjoy our handcrafted chargrilled food delivered in a welcoming Southern California environment,” said Iwona Alter, chief brand officer at The Habit Burger Grill.

The launch is part of a broader plan by the company to expand across Asia. Besides its Cambodia debut, The Habit Burger has also opened eight new restaurants in China.

Founded 1969, the chain is known for its Charburgers, grilled over an open flame, and for a signature range of sandwiches.
